Principal's Corner
Welcome to Wright Middle School!
As your Principal, I look forward to partnering with you to ensure all scholars are celebrated and supported. Together, it is certain that we maintain our tradition of excellence and focus on social action that provides our scholars the opportunity to have an impact on positive change and create a just society.
This marks my 22nd year in education. As an educator, I am driven by the individual success and growth of every scholar. I have devoted my career to educating, inspiring, and advocating for scholars, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. I am excited to bring my passion, enthusiasm and experience to cultivate the unique educational programs that Wright has to offer. Above all, I am excited to observe, listen, learn, and understand what makes Wright Middle School thrive.
At the heart of my practice is building strong relationships with the staff, scholars, and families I serve. I look forward to listening to your ideas and vision for our school and collaborating with each of you to support our sense of community/family here at Wright Middle School. As your principal, I strive to ensure that our strategy builds on our progress with our three ambitious goals: all students achieve academically, all students and adults thrive in positive school climates, and that African American Scholars and youth excel in school. Be on the lookout for upcoming Principal Chats and family events, but also know that I would love to hear from you at any time.
Please feel free to contact me by email at jlstovall@madison.k12.wi.us or by calling our school office at 608-204-1342. I welcome any questions or ideas you would like to share.
